Mark DuMez

Mark has served as Artistic Director at the Chemainus Theatre Festival since 2009, where directing credits include Godspell, Footloose, Its A Wonderful Life, Ghost, The Sound of Music, Silent Sky, Hilda’s Yard, Mousetrap, Ring of Fire, Amadeus, A Shayna Maidel, A Christmas Carol and many Jeeves shows. Favourite acting roles include Elwood in Harvey, Muskrat in Lumberjacks in Love, and roles in Queen Milli of Galt, Mass Appeal and Streetcar Named Desire (CTF), John Gabriel Borkman (Theatre X) and the Dauphin in Henry V (Kentucky Shakespeare Festival). He has developed new work and adaptations for children and adults (Classic Country Roads, Pet the Fish, Little Women) and glad to be working on this show at the Chemainus Theatre Festival and with the many exciting and talented artists who come to play!

Brian Ball

Brian Ball is a Vancouver based Set and Costume Designer. Originally from Newfoundland, he completed his MFA in Theatre (set and costume) from the University of Victoria.

Brian is pleased to be back in Chemainus having designed Glorious 2018, Pride and Prejudice 2017, Harvey 2016, and Jeeves in Bloom 2014.

Rick Colhoun

Rick is very excited for the chance to return to Chemainus Theatre for Peril In The Alps. As a Jessie and Ovation Award-winning Sound Designer, Rick loves exploring new and creative ideas. Rick’s 2026 credits so far include: Come From Away (The Arts Club), Shrek (RCMT), Franklinland (The Arts Club), The Golden Anniversaries (The Arts Club), Grease (CTORA), Shakespeare In Love (Metro Theatre), A Streetcar Named Desire (Ensemble Theatre Company), Peerless (Ensemble Theatre Company). Rick thanks his family for their support and everyone who makes live theatre happen!

Ian Farthing

Previous CTF productions include A Christmas Carol, Jeeves in Bloom, Jeeves at Sea and Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music. Ian also directed Glorious!, Jeeves Intervenes, A Christmas Story and the recent sold-out run of Elf the Musical.

This will be Ian’s third Agatha Christie play this year, having also appeared in The Stranger (Western Gold Theatre) and Murder on the Orient Express (Theatre NorthWest).

Dylan Floyde

Dylan’s theatre credits include Pride and Prejudice (Western Canada Theatre/Gateway Theatre), Hurry Hard (Chemainus Theatre Festival), Bunny (The Search Party), The Sea (Slamming Door Collective). He is a graduate of Studio 58. Dylan is thrilled to return to Chemainus Theatre Festival and is grateful to the cast, crew, and creative team for their support throughout this production. Dustin Freeland

Crystal Hanson

Born on Vancouver Island, Crystal returned to its moss-covered rocks and tall trees several years ago to join the theatre as Head of Wardrobe. Favourite costume designs at the Chemainus Theatre Festival include The Fiancée, Gaslight, A Tiny Christmas Carol, Mrs. Warren’s Profession, Silent Sky, Pride & Prejudice, Million Dollar Quartet, Ring of Fire, Waiting for the Parade, Countryside Christmas, Ah, Wilderness, and The Ladies Foursome.

Ming Hudson

Ming is a Vancouver based artist who pays rent on the lands stolen from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. For over 20 years, she has worked as a freelance performer, collaborative director, devised theatre creator, independent producer, and teaching artist on the west coast, across Canada, and abroad. Gabrielle Marcolin

Gabrielle Marcolin is an Apprentice Stage Manager from Vancouver Island. Her apprenticeship includes Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Chemainus Theatre Festival 2026), Women of the Fur Trade (Firehall Arts Center 2024), Lumberjacks in Love (Chemainus Theatre Festival 2019), and The Foreigner (Chemainus Theatre Festival, 2019).

Andy Marie

Andy Marie (they/them) is a queer, mixed-race Filipino-Canadian-American actor, writer, and improviser based in Vancouver, BC (unceded Coast Salish territory).

Screen credits include the award-winning mockumentary Open for Submissions and OUTTV’s Novelette is Trying. Theatre credits include The Baking Show Show: The Play (Ruby Slippers Theatre) and Annie (Chemainus Theatre). Andy is thrilled to return to the Chemainus stage after nearly twenty-five years.

Kaitlyn Olfert

Kaitlyn is a Calgary-based theatre artist who has enjoyed performing across Alberta. Select credits include: A Christmas Carol (Theatre Calgary, ’24 – ‘26); Little Red Riding Hood; Snow White (Birnton Theatricals); Mary Jane (Fire Exit Theatre); Top Gunn (Jubilations Dinner Theatre); Girls Like That (New West Theatre). Kaitlyn is also a creative partner of Sticky Jar Collective, featured in the Calgary Fringe Festival and the Ignite Festival for Emerging Artists. This is her Chemainus debut! Big thanks to her cheerleaders at home who make all this possible.

Emma Rendell

Emma is a graduate of the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts, and previously trained at CCPA in Victoria. She’s worked in Canada and the UK, including Shakespeare’s Globe, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and London’s VAULT Festival.

Connor Riopel

Connor is a prairie-raised, Vancouver-based artist, with a diverse career across theatre, film/television and commercials. Recent theatre credits: The Odd Couple (Theatre NorthWest), A Streetcar Named Desire (ETC), and Constellations (Presentation House Theatre). Next up he will understudy for The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley. Selected film/television credits: Laid (Peacock), A Burden to Bare (Oregom Films), and College Girls (YAP TV).

Steven Sobolewski

Steven is a proud mixed-Filipino stage manager and emerging director. Previous credits include Home to Roost (CTF), Murder on the Orient Express (TNW), Prison Dancer (Citadel), I Don’t Even Miss You (Tiny Bear Jaws/Factory Theatre), Small Mouth Sounds (Wild Side Productions). Steven also serves as the Equity Councilor for Northern Alberta/Northwest Territories. Thanks to Casey for all the love and support.

Ingrid’s work is about well-told stories, whether the form is theatre, opera, orchestra, or dance. She works with companies large and small and is glad to be here with you.

Imogen Wilson

Imogen Wilson is a Toronto born and based lighting designer. She has designed productions across the country including at the Stratford Festival, Shaw Festival, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, National Arts Centre, Soulpepper, Crow’s, Musical Stage Co, Tarragon, The Grand, and Chemainus Festival. Imogen is thrilled to return to Chemainus, previous festival designs include Ghost! The Musical, and Miss Bennett Christmas at Pemberley.
