What are your COVID-19 safety protocols?
The Chemainus Theatre is committed to the safety of patrons and staff. We continue to follow public health guidelines and will provide updates as circumstances evolve.
- Please stay home if you are ill & contact the Box Office for ticket options
- Masks are recommended indoors
- Social distanced seating is available in the theatre
- Respect personal space as you move throughout the building
- Wash your hands and/or use the hand sanitizing stations provided throughout the building
- Employees are screened daily and required to stay home if sick
Will you be offering the buffet?
We are offering Table d’hôte service, featuring a salad bar, choice of plated entrees, and our famous dessert table. Attendants will be available to assist to reduce points of contact.
Will there be any social distancing in the theatre and dining room?
In order to maintain some physical distancing in the theatre, there will be a minimum of one theatre seat between parties in an restricted area of the theatre. The first row of the theatre will also be held to provide additional separation between performers and audience.
The Playbill Dining Room will also continue to operate at reduced capacity with additional spacing between tables.
What changes have you made to ticket purchasing and pick-up?
Tickets can either be printed at home or scanned from your phone. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of these options and avoid picking up your tickets when you arrive.
If you are unable to access your digital tickets, please contact the Box Office in advance of the performance to request printed tickets.
Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets by phone or online. Box Office hours are: Tuesday – Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday 10am – 2pm.
Why is there no lunch available?
The number of dining room services available has been reduced due to a number of challenges. We are taking measured steps to reopen our theatre and dining room to full capacity, so that we will be in the best shape possible to welcome back full audiences in 2022.
When do the doors open?
The front lobby doors will open one hour before the performance, or 15 minutes before dining room service starts. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the show. Entering the building may take longer than usual as we verify proof of vaccination and scan tickets. Please dress accordingly for the weather. We thank you in advance for your patience.
Is the Concession open?
The concession remains closed. You are welcome to bring your own water. You can also purchase bottled water in the Gallery Gift Shop.
I have a credit on my account from a cancelled show. Can I use it to purchase tickets?
Yes! You can access your account credit by logging into your online account. Click My Account Credits / Gift Certificates on the account homepage to view and apply your credits.
You can also apply them directly from your shopping cart when you are ready to check-out, by clicking Redeem My Credits / Gift Certificates.
