What are your COVID-19 safety protocols?
The Chemainus Theatre is committed to the safety of patrons and staff. We continue to follow public health guidelines and will provide updates as circumstances evolve.
- Please stay home if you are ill & contact the Box Office for ticket options
- Masks are recommended indoors
- Distanced seating options are available in the theatre and dining room
- Respect personal space as you move throughout the building
- Wash your hands and/or use the hand sanitizing stations provided throughout the building
- Employees are required to stay home if sick
Will you be offering the buffet?
We are offering Table d’hôte service, featuring a salad bar, choice of plated entrees, and our famous dessert table. Attendants will be available to assist to reduce points of contact.
Will there be any social distancing in the theatre and dining room?
Following directives of the Public Health Office, we have lifted all capacity limits however we will be offering a distanced seating section at every performance. There will be one theatre seat spacing between parties in this section (Rows G – K in the Centre and Left sections).
The Playbill Dining Room will also continue to operate at reduced capacity with additional spacing between tables.
What changes have you made to ticket purchasing and pick-up?
Tickets can either be printed at home or scanned from your phone. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of these options and avoid picking up your tickets when you arrive.
If you are unable to access your digital tickets, please contact the Box Office in advance of the performance to request printed tickets.
Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets by phone or online. Box Office hours are: Tuesday – Friday 10am – 4pm.
Why are there fewer performances with lunch available?
The number of dining room services available has been reduced due to a number of challenges. We are taking measured steps to reopen our theatre and dining room to full capacity, so that we will be in the best shape possible moving forward.
When do the doors open?
The front lobby doors will open one hour before the performance, or 15 minutes before dining room service starts. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the show.
I have a credit on my account from a cancelled show. Can I use it to purchase tickets?

You can also apply them directly from your shopping cart when you are ready to check-out, by clicking Redeem My Credits / Gift Certificates.
