Lighting Designer

Craig is a Technical Director, Designer and Technologist based out of Vancouver, BC. He has been working professionally for over 20 years with many different theatre and dance companies and his work has been seen across Canada as well as internationally. Recent Chemainus Theatre credits include Footloose (Sound), Once (Lighting), Grace and Glorie (Set), and Over the River and Through the Woods (Set).



Jerry Lee Lewis

Montgomery is thrilled to be returning to the Chemainus Theatre Festival and the Million Dollar Quartet. Previous stage credits include: If We Were Birds (Theatre Inconnu); The Weir (Jarvolution Theatre); Casino Royale (Outpost 31); The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Pride & Prejudice, and The Graduate (The Victoria Theatre Guild). Montgomery also directs, with recent credits including Critic’s Choice Award nominated Humble Boy and Female Transport (The Victoria Theatre Guild).



Scott is delighted to be returning to this beautiful island! Previously with Chemainus Theatre: Ring of Fire, Elf The Musical, Million Dollar Quartet. Selected other theatre: Million Dollar Quartet (Stage West Calgary, Drayton Entertainment/Mirvish); Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (Arts Club, Stage West Calgary, Magnus Theatre, Sudbury Theatre Centre, Theatre Aquarius); Sleuth, 12 Angry Men, Blood Brothers, The 39 Steps (Rose Theatre); Doubt, Urinetown the Musical (Georgetown Globe). Elvis Presley

Frankie Cottrell is an alumnus of the Musical Theatre diploma program at Capilano University. Select credits:
Sir Galahad in Spamalot (Prairie Skies Theatre Co), Tommy in Tommy the Musical (Renegade Productions), Gabe in Next to Normal (West Moon Theatre), and Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden (Exit 22 Productions). Frankie is very excited to perform as one of his icons and would like to thank the artistic team for the opportunity to play this dream role.


Assistant Stage Manager

Costume Designer

Crystal is a graduate of the Fashion Design & Technology Program at Kwantlen University College. Past costume designs at the Chemainus Theatre Festival include Pride & Prejudice, A Lovely Sunday, Million Dollar Quartet, Ring of Fire, Grace & Glorie, Waiting for the Parade, All Shook Up (Gateway Theatre co-production), Countryside Christmas, and Ah, Wilderness! She would like to thank her parents for their support and encouragement.


Sam Phillips

Chemainus: Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. Recent credits: Young Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (WCT) Lonny in Rock of Ages (ArtsClub), Creeps (Rearwheels/Cultch), Mojo, Hidden and Merchant of Venice (Itsazoo), Trainspotting (Rumble), Miser and The Mousetrap (Western Gold). Brett is a two time Jessie Theatre Award recipient. Many thanks to the Chemainus Theatre family for having me back and all the love in the world to my wife Kate.

Set Designer

Laurin Kelsey obtained her BFA in Set & Costume Design from the University of Victoria and attended the National Theatre School of Canada. Laurin has worked in Germany, Czech Republic, and Canada designing sets and costumes for over 50 productions in both theatre and film. Recent credits include The Importance of Being Earnest (Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre), The Gut Girls (Phoenix Theatres), and The Mousetrap (Chemainus Theatre).


Carl Perkins

Daniel is thrilled to be back in his blue suede shoes. Selected credits: Guy/Once; Man 1/Songs for a New World; Schroeder/You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown; Jack Chesney/Where’s Charley. Film music: A Very Country Christmas. Daniel lives in Toronto and is an acclaimed singer/songwriter with four records out. He’ll be in the lobby after the show with CDs available for you to take home. Go cat!


Johnny Cash

Jonas is thrilled to be back at the Chemainus Theatre Festival! Theatre credits include, Ring of Fire – The Johnny Cash Story (Western Canada Theatre and Chemainus Theatre Festival); Million Dollar Quartet (Chemainus Theatre Festival, Arts Club Theatre and Magnus Theatre). Jonas has CD’s available for purchase in the lobby following the show, including a CD he and his band made specifically for this production of Million Dollar Quartet.


Stage Manager

Kraig is thrilled to return to Chemainus, having previously musically directed and/or appeared in Once, Ring of Fire, Buddy Holly, Million Dollar Quartet, and Rock Legends. Kraig works as a musician, actor, singer, songwriter & music director all across Canada. As always, all my love to Stephanie and little Cæleigh. Thank you for supporting Canadian theatre.
